HEREWARD PRIMARY SCHOOL’S INTENT

The overarching aim at Hereward Primary School is to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all pupils. Kindness, tolerance and happiness are deeply rooted within the school ethos, enabling children to feel valued and nurtured.

Our staffing community provide the children with a broad and balanced curriculum, where pupils are encouraged to take their learning beyond the classroom, sparking their curiosity about the world around them. We believe this is achieved through inspirational teaching, which provides the pupils with an engaging curriculum that develops the progression of key skills. Ultimately, pupils are guided to confidently reflect on their learning and promote resilience to overcome challenges.

Pupils are expected to be active members of the school, focusing on the importance of their own health and well-being. In order for pupils to build positive relationships, we believe that teamwork is an essential part of their learning, as it helps them appreciate and respect each other’s qualities.

Pupils are taught to appreciate and respect the uniqueness and diversity of others. We strive to ensure that our pupils are courteous members of the community by encouraging them to become independent and responsible global citizens. Pupils at Hereward think creatively as they work towards ambitious life long goals.
