Key Stage One Reading Baskets

 

Fancy cuddling up with a good book, a hot chocolate and a loveable teddy bear? This is exactly what our pupils in years 1 and 2 have the opportunity of doing. Sent home with the above and a fabulous range of books in a basket, children are prompted to read with their teddy and share a good book with an adult or sibling. As I am sure you can imagine, this initiative has proved very popular and helps to further cement the passion for a good book, develop vocabulary skills and move children towards spending less time on technological devices.
