Year 5 enjoyed a trip to the Wild Forest in Brentwood. Soon after arriving, the woods rang with enthusiastic laughter as the children climbed up walls, whizzed across platforms on a lake and swung from monkey bars where those who fell went into a pond. Year 5 student Hayden said, “This was the best trip EVER!”
The children had a lot of fun and have learned such a lot. Many of them seem to have grown in confidence after they confronted their fear of heights, learned the best way to support and encourage one another, as well as working hard to get incredibly muddy!
Year 5 Class Teacher Mr Loughnane said, “I’m very impressed with the resilience and determined attitude of all the children. It was lovely to see them all working together.”
