YEAR 5 VISIT WEST STOW SAXON VILLAGE

The pupils in Year 5 enjoyed their trip to West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village. The children got to experience some real Anglo-Saxon artifacts. The children then had the opportunity to touch some Anglo-Saxon weaponry and even felt the jaw of a boar, which had been killed in battle. Chloe in 5L said:,“It felt really weird to touch the jaw. Its teeth were really sharp.”

After lunch, Year 5 had a look around a recreated Anglo-Saxon village. They all agreed that it would have been very dirty to live there. Thinking about life in Anglo-Saxon times, Lilly from 5R said, “I’d definitely have missed using electricity.”
