Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic trip to the re-constructed Anglo-Saxon village at West Stow. The children were able to go 'back in time' to investigate what life was like for an Anglo-Saxon over 1000 years ago. Through this experience, the pupils were able to explore the different buildings, handle replica objects and study finds from the site in the Anglo-Saxon Museum.
Rhys from 5C said, "I loved the trip and it taught me a lot more about Anglo-Saxons. An interesting fact is that their houses had pits underneath them."
Tito from 5L commented that, "I learnt so much that I don't think all of the information can fit into my brain! One thing I learnt was that Anglo-Saxons were in the area around 515 AD. I can't wait to go again."
