TAG RUGBY COMPETITORS TRY THEIR BEST

A few weeks ago, 45 children went to Debden Park High School to represent Hereward in a tag-rugby competition.

The 'A' team won 3, lost 2 and drew 1 game. They have now qualified for the Partnership Finals on Friday 2nd December.

The 'B' team unfortunately lost all their games except one, but had been placed in the harder section of the draw against all the 'A' teams. However, they never gave up and fought hard for every match.

The 'C' team also lost their games but played with great spirit and fairness.

The 'D' team (Year 5 pupils) had a very successful morning with 5 wins and 1 draw, finishing 2nd only one point behind the winning team.

Well done to all the pupils who took part.

Following this event, the 'A' team went to the Partnership Tag-Rugby finals in Chigwell. The team played particularly well and finished the competition with 3 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats. These results meant that Hereward finished 7th out of 14 schools - an extremely creditable feat.

Well done to the team - Rea, Brooke, Annabel, Luke, Jake, Joe, Katrae, Billy (Y6), Cos and Billy (Y5) who stepped in at the last minute for Calum who was injured.
