The children in Year 5 enjoyed a special morning dedicated to the importance of road safety. They were visited by a member of the Essex Road Safety Team who spoke to the pupils about how to cross the road carefully, as well as the hazards and risks to be aware of.
The children were then able to put their learning into practice and ventured outside the school in small groups. They had the opportunity to demonstrate how to cross the road safely and pick out any possible dangers around them.
Year 5 teacher Mr Loughnane said, "It was lovely to see the children so engaged and attentive throughout the morning. It is reassuring to know that they are now far more aware of the importance of road safety."
