The Year 3 children time travelled 6000 years to the stone age period as they visited the Celtic Harmony Camp. The children thoroughly enjoyed dressing as cave men and cave women. We had a fantastic day exploring some of the different elements of Stone Age life. Firstly, we became hunter gatherers as we discussed the types of food eaten. We then created spear heads and were amazed as we watched our guide produce a fire to warm our frozen fingers over lunch! Later in the afternoon we built shelters and learnt about how Stone Age people traded items to survive.
Mr Buckland said, “The visit has really enriched the children’s learning and understanding of the Stone Age.”
